Supported by the local municipalities, the purpose-built Regional Health Hub primary care facility unites all local family doctors into a single clinic supported by the Ottawa Valley Family Health Team (OVFHT), offering enhanced primary care services.

Increase primary care attachment

The physician’s group and the OVFHT aim to improve clinic efficiency, boosting primary care attachment by increasing doctors’ patient rosters. Clinic efficiency will also allow more daily patient visits, enhancing overall care quality.

Create accessible and connected primary care

Effective patient-centered care occurs when doctors can easily access and collaborate with interprofessional health providers like pharmacy, diagnostic services, physiotherapy, mental health, and other primary care services. The Hub concept aims to boost this efficiency by inviting preferred allied health services to locate in the same facility, helping create ease of contact, as well as continuity and comprehensiveness of patient care.

Provide ease of access and reach

Carleton Place has regional destination status and multi-directional ease of reach being at the junction of Highways 7, 29 & 15 and the first town outside of the the Ottawa Census Metropolitan Area going west. Commutes to the region’s surrounding towns and Ottawa western suburbs are under 30 minutes, providing a population reach of near 600,000.
